  • Taylor Parker (36) resides in the foothills of Western North Carolina on a sprawling wonderland of rhododendrons and spruce trees in a little marble bungalow she is currently renovating with her family/children, plants, and creations. She is a loyal and devoted mother, daughter, friend, and employee.

  • She is an architectural designer, currently sitting for her licensure as an architect. She attended the University of Tennessee and graduated with a Bachelor’s/Post-Professional Degree in Architecture and is a former fashion and retail management student of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Landscape Architecture Master’s candidate at UT. She is also currently completing a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Leadership. Outside of those, she works at the best little architecture firm in the world, sells her art, is publishing books, and is in the process of starting a 17-acre campground and makerspace/STEM center. She sleeps roughly 3 hours a night and exists primarily on coffee and creativity.

  • An ambivert/INFJ/aspian by nature, she jokingly considers herself a form of “chaotic good” and likes to bring balance and beauty into the world at large. She believes in integrity, honesty, sustainability, and wants to help make the world (and beyond) a far better place than she found it.

  • An October-born innovator and visionary, she operates in life with an equitable amount of emotion and logic, and champions underdogs and trailblazers. Philanthropic and humanistic. Strong-willed but diplomatic. She is an intuitive designer and often trying to find the balance between being minimal and maximal.

  • She is autodidactic and a life-long learner, often picking up new skills and hobbies and researching/teaching herself when necessary.

  • She also operates as a citizen scientist in her rare free-time and amateur astronomer/photographer. She is a member of several architectural and scientific organizations as well as a patron of the arts. She believes Space is the future of our society and wants humanity to become interplanetary someday,

  • A lover of books with an oft overactive imagination, she loses herself in the written word and prose of others and also writes/illustrates stories about young adult science fiction, fantasy, history, children’s education/entertainment, somewhat self-deprecating but humorous personal narratives, and science instruction modules.

  • Some of her former endeavors include a cafe, music venue, 20+ years in the vintage clothing industry to varying degrees, handmade fashions and design, event photography, mural and set painting, graphic design, greenway/smart cities designer, custom art, acting editor of two art/design magazines, and comic book illustrator.

  • She is a musician and vocalist for idol heart/ (the) quiet years. She can play a wide variety of instruments by ear and is fascinated with music in most genres.

  • Some of her favorite hobbies include hiking, exploring, travel, painting, spinning records (usually soul or crossover 45s), styling vintage fashion (especially 1960’s mod and space age,) studying aerospace history and rocket design, space architecture, culinary arts, dancing and yoga, embroidery, worldbuilding, sculpting, gardening, and taking pictures.

  • Her favorite flower is the ranunculus, midcentury modern design is still “king” in her book, and she would like to see the Northern Lights someday from somewhere remote in the Faroe Islands. :-)
